Did you know?


In honor of this month, I thought I’d share with you some amazing “Did you know” facts!

  • Asparagus is high in glutathione which is an important anticarcinogen. Its a good source of vitamins A, C, E, B (complex), zinc, and potassium!
  • Avocados has twice as much potassium as bananas
  • Beet routes are high in carbohydrates and should be used sparingly
  • Paleo diet eaters> Celery is a great substitute for bread when your craving a taste of some peanut butter. One of my ultimate favorite snacks!
  • Cilantro may be useful to treat urinary tract infections and also treats nausea, soothe inflammation, headaches, coughs and mental stress
  • Chinese cabbage is an excellent source of folic acid!
  • Dandelion Greens is beneficial to digestion and is an antiviral. This contains insulin and can lower blood sugar levels in diabetics
  • Green beans are diuretic and contains vitamin A, calcium, and potassium
  • The flavor of zucchini is best when it measures less then 6 inches long. They can reach up to the size of a baseball bat!
  • A 20 oz bottle of Coca-cola has more sugar than a large cinnabon
  • Ginger can help reduce exercise induced muscle pain by up to 25%
  • Drying fruit causes massive nutrient loss, depleting 30-80% of its vitamin and antioxidant content
