Morning Pregnancy Boost!

Being 27 weeks pregnant today, I have grown in amazement on how the food you choose to eat for breakfast can set the stage for the rest of the afternoon! Anytime I eat something full of sugar like French toast and syrup, I feel unsatisfied and I'm literally starving in an hour!
But when I fill my mornings with some protein and vitamin D with eggs, I can keep and stay full up until lunch at 12! Amazing huh? But of course, I try not to stretch eating that long. So I grab something small to nibble on or drink until lunchtime. And for lunch, I keep the health up and grab a nice healthy salad and may toss in something else with some sustenance to carry me over until my next snack time. And people wonder why I am all belly and NO FAT! I keep it healthy!

Eggs are great because there is so many different varieties on how to prepare it. Over easy, hard boiled, or my personal favorite scrambled! The easiest way toget your veggies in is when making an omelet I think. So that's what I did this morning! (pics below are not of my breakfast, I ate it before I remembered to snap a pic. Sorry)

On today's menu, spinach omelette with green peppers.

Want to know what my brunch snack was? A banana peach smoothie! Here's the recipe:

1 cup of sliced peaches
1 banana
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup of almond milk
*Optional*- crushed ice (I like it without ice!)
Blend it up good and pour in a glass

This was a great morning burst of energy! And man was it Yummy!

XoXo,

Rebecca
